Please read these terms carefully before using the Pathagar app. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Pathagar Digital Library app (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms apply to all users of the App, including visitors, registered users, and subscribers.

2. Eligibility

To use the Pathagar app, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet all of the above eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration

To access content on Pathagar, you must create an account. You may register using:

• Your name, mobile number, email address, and a password
• Your Google account via Google Sign-In

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

Pathagar reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Use of Services

The Pathagar app provides access to digital books (e-books) and audiobooks for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may:

• Read and listen to content within the app for personal enjoyment
• Bookmark pages and save reading progress
• Access content on your registered device

You may not:

• Download, copy, redistribute, or resell any content from the app
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the app for any commercial purpose
• Attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent any security or access control measures
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app

5. Subscription & Payments

Subscription Plans

Access to books and audiobooks on Pathagar requires an active paid subscription. We offer the following plans:

• 1 Month subscription
• 3 Months subscription
• 6 Months subscription
• 12 Months subscription

Current pricing for each plan is displayed on the Subscription screen within the app. Pathagar reserves the right to modify pricing at any time with prior notice.

Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Cashfree, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We accept UPI, credit/debit cards, and net banking. Pathagar does not store your payment card details.

Refund Policy

All subscription payments are non-refundable. Once a subscription is activated, no refund will be issued for any unused portion of the subscription period. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at pathagar2025@gmail.com within 7 days of the transaction.

Subscription Upgrade

You may upgrade your subscription plan at any time. Upon upgrading, your current plan will be replaced with the new plan effective from the date of upgrade. No credit is provided for the remaining days of your previous plan.

Subscription Expiry

Upon expiry of your subscription, access to premium content will be restricted until a new subscription is purchased. Your account and reading progress data will be retained.

6. Intellectual Property

All content available through the Pathagar app, including but not limited to e-books, audiobooks, cover images, app design, logos, and text, is the intellectual property of Pathagar Digital Library or its content partners and is protected under applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, modification, public display, or any other use of the content without prior written consent from Pathagar is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

7. Account Deletion

You may delete your Pathagar account at any time from Account → Delete Account within the app. Upon deletion:

• Your personal data and reading history will be permanently removed
• Any active subscription will be cancelled with no refund for the remaining period
• Payment records will be retained for 7 years for legal and accounting compliance

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

8. Third-Party Services

The Pathagar app integrates with the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In — for authentication
• Cashfree — for payment processing

These services operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies. Pathagar is not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party services.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Pathagar app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the app
• Accuracy or completeness of any content
• Fitness for a particular purpose

We do not warrant that the app will be free from viruses or other harmful components. Use of the app is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pathagar Digital Library shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or reading progress
• Loss of revenue or profits
• Interruption of service or inability to access content

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for your most recent subscription period.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

12. Changes to Terms

Pathagar reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email.

Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically.
